Spring is on its way, so come and support the PHS Cross Country Team and Math Club by participating in the 1st annual Pi Mile Run (that's 3.14 miles for the math weary folks out there).
Registration
Early registration (by March 2nd) is $10 for students under 18 and $20 for all others. This includes an opportunity to race on Patuxent's cross country course and a nifty T-shirt.
Race day registration is $10 more than the early registration fee (T-shirts not guaranteed).
You may register at active.com or download a registration form (mhtml, .doc, .pdf-coming soon) and mail it in or bring it to the race.
Prizes
This being a Pi Mile Run, the overall male and female winners will receive a pie! There will also be runner up prizes and prizes for the winners of each age division.
There will also be refreshments after the race.
Race Course
The course will be run on the Patuxent High School Cross Country course, with slight modifications made to extend the length to exactly pi miles. The beautiful course is mostly trails and somewhat hilly.
Directions
The race will be held at Patuxent High School Stadium, 12485 Rousby Hall Rd, Lusby, MD 20657. For directions go to maps.google.com and enter 'Patuxent High School'. There is ample on-site parking.
